Our Remote Support tool is an easy to use hosted service that is branded with your logo and company name. It allows you to provide on demand support or collaboration by taking control of another users PC from any internet connected PC. No more worry about firewalls, "ports," licenses for remote locations, software updates, or expensive appliances. The service is licensed based on the number of users OFFERING support rather than number of users supported; you may support as many PCs as you wish, one user at a time.
Offering Support:
To offer support you simply log in to your customized support center and invite a user via email, IM or by giving them the address over the phone and launching the Support interface. Nothing is installed on your computer and you may access the support center from any internet connected PC. When your cient launches the client support tool form your customized website you simply accept the notification to connect to their computer. You now have full control as if you were sitting in front of their computer to offer assistance with applications, training or technical support. Both you and the person in front of the computer you are connected to can see what you are doing; you may transfer files, open and close applications, or interact with the computer as if you were there. You can even reboot their PC into safe mode and you wil automatically be reconnected.
To end a session, you or the person infront of the computer can double click the IDO Support Icon in the system tray, right click on the IDO Support Icon and choose to close the session or simply close the support window. After your session has ended the session length is displayed for recod keeping and billing purposes. For security the remote computer cannot be controled again without the client initiating another session.
What your Clients see:
After the client connect to your customized support portal (by email invitation, bookmark, IM Link, or verbal instruction), they may choose the name of the representitive they wish to allow to control their PC from a drop down list. They must then agree to the Terms of Service and click the PLAY button. After agreeing to OPEN or RUN the application the IDO Support icon appears in their system tray; if it is ORANGE their request for support is waiting, if it is GREEN their computer is being controlled. As with the PC offering support, nothing is installed on their computer.
After the session, the PC that has been controlled displays a notice that the IDO Support software has been shutdown and that the PC can no longer be controlled without initiating another session.
